Woodswallows Artamidae
The woodswallows are a single genus family consisting of 11 species. These dull colored birds are one of the few passerines that can actually soar.
They are restricted to southern Asia and Australasia. Some authors consider the currawongs, Australian Magpie and butcherbirds as part of this
family. At this time, I feel it is best to leave these birds in a seperate family known as Cracticidae.
