Vireos and Allies Vireonidae
There are 4 genera within this family. The 53 species of vireos and allies are all confined to the New World. The Choco Vireo Vireo masteri
is endangered. The Black-capped Vireo Vireo atricapilla and the San Andres Vireo Vireo caribaeus
are both vulnerable. In addition, the Bell's Vireo Vireo bellii, Blue Mountain Vireo Vireo osburni,
and the Noronha Vireo Vireo gracilirostris are all near-threatened.
Cyclarhis

There are 2 members in the genus.
The Rufous-browed Peppershrike Cyclarhis gujanensis ranges from southern Mexico, south to northern Argentina and Uruguay.
These bull-headed birds are found in a variety of habitats including forest borders, scrublands, secondary forests, and clearings with scattered trees.

Vireo

The Hutton's Vireo Vireo huttoni is similar to the Ruby-crowned Kinglet Regulus calendula. The latter is
not as stocky, has a smaller bill, and has a distinct habit of nervously flitting it's wings. The Hutton's Vireo is found from southwestern
