Tityras and Allies Tityridae
There are 10 genera within this family, of which 2 are thus far listed below. Of the 34 species within this family, the Slaty Becard Pachyramphus spodiurus is endangered and the Buff-throated Purpletuft
Iodopleura pipra and the Swallow-tailed Cotinga Phibalura flavirostris are
near-threatened. Members of this family range from Mexico south to South America, with the exception of the Rose-throated Becard,
which may also be found in southeast Arizona and southern Texas.
