Pittas Pittidae
This is a single genus family with 32 species. Pittas are an Old World family with the majority of species to be found in tropical Asia. Several species can also be found in Australasia and Africa. The Gurney's Pitta Pitta gurneyi is critically endangered. In addition, another 8 species are vulnerable and 4 more are near-threatened.
