Olive Warbler Peucedramidae
The Olive Warbler is a single species family. At first glimpse, it looks just like any other New World warbler (Parulidae).
A closer look reveals that it's nest and eggs
are distinctly different from the New World warblers, and it has a completely different bone structure. Recent DNA work also shows that it has a distinct
lineage, perhaps closer to an Old World warbler (Sylvidae), or even an accentor (Prunellidae).
Needless to say, it is probably best left in it's own monotypic family.
Peucedramus

The Olive Warbler Peucedramus taeniatus is a New World species that ranges from central
Arizona and southwestern New Mexico, south to Nicaragua. They can be found in coniferous forests, typically above 7,000 feet. This male was photographed
in the Chiricahua Mountains, Arizona.
