Anhingas Anhingidae
There are 4 species of anhingas, the Anhinga Anhinga anhinga of the New World and the African Darter Anhinga rufa, Oriental Darter Anhinga melanogaster and Australian Darter Anhinga novaehollandiae of the Old World.






This is a single genus family.

This pair of Anhingas Anhinga anhinga were on a nest along the appropriately named Anhinga Trail, Everglades National Park, Miami-Dade County, Florida, November 2009.
